Written by MA-Shops Dealer Manfred Olding

The last part in the series on the coins of the Prussian kings, which describes the coins of the first two kings, is now available on MA-Shops. The release of “Die Münzen des Königreichs Preußen 1701 – 1740” is written by Manfred Olding, a well-known Dealer on MA-Shops.

It contains the coins of Frederick I, who crowned himself King of Prussia on January 18, 1701 in Königsberg, and his son Frederick William I, also called “The Soldier King”.

The author, known for his other books on Prussian coins and medals, now presents a catalog after years of intensive study, which reflects the latest research on Prussian numismatics.

On more than 180 pages, the reader is offered a detailed catalog section, as well as a wealth of information about the Prussian mint masters and die cutters, mint tables and the coin foot, as well as the currency structure of the various provinces.
In addition to the coins for the homeland of Brandenburg, the catalog section also contains the coins for the provinces of East Prussia, the Duchy of Geldern, the Principality of Neuchâtel and the Westphalian cities of Hamm and Soest.
